JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Director is the third highest ranked active position in the FT Reynolds Company. The position is responsible for execution at store level of the company's policies, procedures and strategic efforts to support the growth and achieve the goals initiated by the Board of Directors. Primary among these are meeting targets of sales, gross margin, and labor goals. Other responsibilities include: Training and troubleshooting of store and department operations; working closely under the Chief Operations Officer and implementing retail operations' initiatives in the areas of point of sale systems, staffing and scheduling, merchandising and store maintenance; providing leadership throughout stores; and working to achieve compliance within stores of all operational programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Overseeing the management and leadership of the stores. Teach, coach, and develop store directors and department managers by holding them accountable to maintain standards within the stores.
- Responsible for understanding and utilizing company financial reports. Assist in setting store goals and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for identifying need and initiating training where needed at store level and carrying out company disciplinary procedure when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the CEO and COO.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY, EXCELLENT WORK ETHIC AND A TENACIOUS DESIRE TO SUCCEED
A College degree is preferred but not required. Experience in retail grocery store management. Must have financial statement acumen. Be sales and profit driven. Strong interpersonal skills with a competitive spirit to reach company and personal goals, and be results driven. Proficient in record keeping.

Note: Management reserves the right to require specific training for this position. However, depending upon the type and quality of prior work experience, some exchanges can be made between training and experience.
DECISION MAKING/PROBLEM SOLVING:
Must exhibit proficiency, consistency, and accuracy of facts in disseminating information to store teams. Expected to solve problems relating to team member issues and support decisions made. Must be "fair, firm and consistent" in all instances with sensitivity to each individual situation.
WORKING CONDITIONS OF THIS POSITION:
- Frequent regular and local travel to all four retail stores.
- Frequent out-of-town travel to other locations key to the company's system.
- Work in the office on non-travelling days.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Immediate supervisor: Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
Subordinates: Store Directors, Store Department Managers and Store Operations Staff
