WINNECONNE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT has an opening for a full time Custodian at the high school level. The hours are 2nd shift during the school year - 2:30pm to 11:00pm and 1st shift in the summer (approx. 10 weeks).

• JOB GOAL: To maintain the school building at a high standard of cleanliness in order to provide safe and healthful facilities for students, staff and public.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

• Cleans assigned rooms and area according to procedures directed by the supervisor of buildings and grounds
• Cleans floors utilizing power equipment such as vacuum cleaners and power scrubbers in addition to hand equipment such as brooms and mops
• Cleans restrooms and locker rooms using cleaning chemicals and scrub brushes.
• Refills soap and paper dispensers
• Removes snow utilizing power equipment and other means
• Removes waste from trash containers
• Performs basic preventive maintenance and repairs to equipment
• Washes walls and furniture, strips and waxes floors and shampoos rugs utilizing power equipment
• Unlocks building in morning and secures it in the evening
• Provides miscellaneous services as requested by the principal and the faculty
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Delivers materials with district vehicles between buildings or to designated sites

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

• Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Must be able to climb to heights 20 feet and higher
• Must be able to work at heights 20 feet and higher
• Must be able to tolerate heat and cold
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in inclement weather and in small spaces
• Must be able to work with potent cleaning and maintenance chemicals
• Reach with hands and arms
• Speak clearly so listeners can understand
• Understand the speech of another person/listen
