We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
Conduct patient assessments and document findings in medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with patient education and provide support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Epic, to input and retrieve patient information.
Conducting thorough patient assessments to monitor health status and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Providing direct patient care in settings such as hospitals, teaching hospitals, and long-term care facilities.
- Assisting with medical imaging procedures and critical care tasks as needed.
- Educating patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Collaborating with registered nurses and physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- Previous experience in occupational health, toddler care, or behavioral health settings is preferred.
Strong knowledge of physiology and ability to apply it in patient care.
- Experience in dementia care is a plus.
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments and interpreting results.
- Familiarity with medical equipment and procedures.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
A valid LPN license with relevant clinical experience in acute care or hospital medicine Required.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is advantageous.
- Experience working in a teaching hospital environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of infant care protocols is beneficial for those interested in pediatrics.
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach patients about their health conditions and treatments.
Skills:
- Valid LPN license in the state of Georgia
- Ability to perform patient assessments and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and monitoring patients' physical condition.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for documentation purposes.
- Understanding of behavioral health principles and ability to provide compassionate care.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
