Body Shop Technician:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Body Shop Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and restoration processes. You will be responsible for diagnosing damage, performing high-quality repairs, and ensuring every vehicle meets safety, structural, and cosmetic standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repair work on vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel repair/replacement, and structural repairs
  • Conduct thorough damage assessments and complete repair plans
  • Remove, repair, and replace damaged body parts and components
  • Repair and align vehicle frames using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Install windshields, windows, and other automotive glass
  • Sand, grind, and prepare surfaces as needed for body repair (excluding paint prep)
  • Ensure all repairs follow manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members regarding repair progress
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in automotive body repair (preferred)
  • I-CAR, ASE, or related certifications (preferred but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of body repair tools, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to read technical manuals and repair estimates
  • Proficient in welding, metal shaping, and frame straightening (a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs)
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
