Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy
- Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional activities to boost sales
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and performance evaluations
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members to build a strong retail team
- Coordinate purchasing decisions and vendor relations for inventory procurement
- Monitor store performance through retail math, sales management metrics, and inventory control measures
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards while fostering a positive shopping environment
- Utilize marketing strategies including wireless sales techniques to attract customers
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills to support efficient store operations
Experience
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within grocery stores or similar retail environments
- Strong leadership skills with supervising experience in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, POS systems, and retail math
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with employee recruitment, training & development, payroll processing, and budgeting
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and stock management
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage cashiering responsibilities effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 50.0 per week
