Seeking Low Voltage and Data Cabling Supervisors

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

This is construction work, we are not looking for IT personnel.

  • Cabling Supervisors - 5 years minimum working with and managing cabling and fiber teams on projects. Must be able to read blue prints, Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage and fiber installations, Good reporting skills, Experience with analyzing test results on Fluke DSX testers, Closet build out experience, Team motivation, Solid process management for cable infrastructure installation, Experience working with customer point of contact.

All positions include installation of: Cat 6, Cat 6A, Coax, and Fiber Optics in a variety of work environments.

Additional skills that would be a plus include: WAPs, IP and Analog cameras, Paging, and AV Systems.

A Cable Supervisor leads teams of technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing voice, data, and video communications infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper systems. They oversee field operations, ensure safety compliance, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage project schedules and resources to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Operations Supervision: Direct daily activities of cable installers and technicians, including scheduling, job assignments, and ensuring high-quality work.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex network service outages and equipment failures.
  • Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic and copper cable systems.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, industry standards, and local requirements.
  • Project Management: Plan projects, manage resource allocation, order materials, and provide status reports.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.

A current Texas drivers license is required

A reliable vehicle (truck is a plus) with proof of insurance and a clean driving record is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
