About

About Helion

We are a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.

Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from long-time investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group as well as new investors SoftBank and Lightspeed to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). We are now operating Polaris, our next prototype on the path to the world's first fusion power plant.

This is a pivotal time to join Helion. You will tackle real-world challenges with a team that prizes urgency, rigor, ownership, and a commitment to delivering hard truths – values essential to achieving what no one has before. Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.

What You Will Be Doing:

As our Technical Delivery Project Manager, you will own the technical planning and delivery of construction projects across Helion's sites, translating complex engineering, manufacturing, and science requirements into construction-ready scope packages. You'll serve as the primary technical interface between design and field execution, managing budgets, schedules, procurement, and changes to scope, cost, or timeline while proactively identifying and resolving conflicts before work begins. Partnering closely with Field Operations and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll lead fast-paced, mission-critical projects with high ambiguity and develop practical, in-house solutions to drive execution. This onsite role is based in Everett, WA and reports to the Facilities Construction Manager.

You Will:

  • Own detailed technical construction delivery across the full project lifecycle—from scope definition and design development (including creating scope/drawings/specs as required) through delivery and handoff
  • Translate complex, high-tolerance engineering requirements into construction-ready scope packages for subcontractors and internal crews
  • Proactively identify and resolve physical or logical conflicts (e.g., MEP interference with structural or equipment) in the field before work commences
  • Manage system interfaces and interdependencies across fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and industrial controls
  • Own technical procurement of materials and long-lead items
  • Build and maintain integrated schedules, track constraints, and escalate risks with clear technical recommendations
  • Act with urgency as the primary construction troubleshooting resource, removing roadblocks and maintaining project momentum through deep-dive technical problem solving
  • Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience managing technical construction projects (industrial, R&D, healthcare, or energy) from initiation through functional handoff
  • Strong proficiency in Bluebeam and CAD; Revit/BIM experience is a plus
  • Experience working with high-tolerance specs and complex MEP systems
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver technical solutions independently, without reliance on external consultants or heavy oversight
  • Strong background in technical procurement, including the ability to vet specialized materials and long-lead items against engineering data sheets
  • Proven success managing budgets, schedules, and change control for multi-trade projects in rapidly scaling, high-pressure environments
  • Exceptional ability to translate high-level scientific and engineering intent into practical, "boots-on-the-ground" trade execution
  • Safety- and quality-driven mindset with attention to detail
  • #LI-Onsite #LI-MM1
