The Conflicts Analyst is responsible for the review of incoming new business intake requests for potential conflicts of interest in accordance with firm policy, including review of such requests for accuracy and completeness. The Analyst will perform research using multiple online sources and will work closely with other members of the Conflicts/Intake team, as well as firm attorneys and their assistants, to prepare and analyze conflict check reports generated using Elite 3E.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely conflicts search results generated from Elite 3E, including analysis and evaluation of the conflict check report.
  • Work with attorneys and assistants to obtain clear information necessary to perform accurate and complete conflict searches and identify potential conflict issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the Conflicts/Intake team to review responses from attorneys that require additional review, suggest resolutions to potential conflict issues, and provide attorneys with clear and concise summaries of required steps to address potential issues.
  • Follow up with attorneys, assistants, and other team members when necessary to ensure the timely resolution of potential conflicts.
  • Perform research on prospective clients and other parties using a variety of electronic databases and the internet to ensure data integrity for accurate conflicts analysis.
  • Assist with various other projects and initiatives, as needed, including with respect to lateral hires and implementation of ethical walls.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous conflicts and/or law firm experience (or in areas directly applicable to the duties described above, such as paralegal/legal assistant) preferred.
  • Experience with Outlook and Elite 3E is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $75,000 to $105,000 depending on experience. Hybrid work arrangement out of our Century City office, with the expectation to be in the office 4 times per week and on an as needed basis. For the first 90 days, you will be required to work completely onsite.
