Full-Time 1st Shift Medication/Resident Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide/Resident Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in an assisted living/memory care environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and be skilled in administering medications and assisting with various healthcare needs. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being of our senior residents while maintaining their dignity and comfort.

Duties

• Administer prescribed medications to residents according to established protocols.
• Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
• Assist residents with catheter care as needed.
• Provide personal care support, including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families regarding care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control practices.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance caregiving skills.

Experience

• Previous experience in home care, nursing home, or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is beneficial.
• Familiarity with medication administration systems and protocols is a plus.
• Experience in providing senior care and understanding the unique needs of elderly individuals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating empathy and patience.
