We are looking to add a Senior Analytics Engineer to own and evolve our analytics and business intelligence stack
You'll own analytics at Jungle Scout by designing and maintaining our modern data stack, establishing governance in our Snowflake data warehouse, and delivering dashboards in Power BI that keep leaders focused on the metrics that matter most. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll partner with GTM, RevOps, Finance, and Product teams to make data a competitive advantage and multiply organizational impact through AI.
Location:
We're a remote-first company and looking to hire this person anywhere between the PST - EST time zone across Canada (excluding Quebec). Preference for Chicago-based candidates with hybrid remote/in-office availability (flexible 2-3 days in-office per week)

Performance Objectives:
Primary Objective:
Own (design, build, and maintain) a modern, data stack (Snowflake + dbt + Power BI) that delivers reliable, scalable data models and dashboards, enabling self-service analytics, data-driven decision-making and AI-readiness across the company.
In simpler terms: proactively make sure leaders at the company have clean, trusted, and accessible data to run the business.
Key Performance Objectives:
Build and maintain an efficient, reliable analytics stack that scales with the business Enable company leaders with the visibility they need to grow their teams and meet objectives Establish trusted, consistent definitions for core SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, retention, pipeline, etc.) Improve reliability and reduce data issues through testing, documentation, and monitoring
Key Success Factors: Ownership & Accountability Takes end-to-end responsibility for data integrity, data models, and dashboards, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact stakeholders. Business Acumen Understands SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, retention, pipeline, CAC, activation, etc.) and how data supports strategic decision-making. Problem-Solving Orientation Proactively approaches ambiguous or messy data challenges with creativity, persistence, and a structured approach. Collaboration & Influence Works effectively across teams (RevOps, Sales, Finance, Marketing, CS, Product), translating technical concepts into business language and driving alignment. Continuous Improvement Mindset Seeks opportunities to automate, simplify, and scale processes while keeping up with modern data stack and AI tooling best practices. Required Skills & Experience:
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or quantitative discipline (ex. computer science, statistics, economics, applied math), or equivalent work experience 5+ years in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data engineering, analytics, data science, or a data-focused role, preferably in a high-growth, fast-moving B2B SaaS or technology company Experience owning analytics deliverables end-to-end, including stakeholder-facing dashboards and scalable data models Technical Skills:
Advanced SQL proficiency to write and optimize performant, complex queries on large data sets Strong cloud data warehouse and data modeling experience, we use Snowflake and dbt Deep understanding of ETL/ELT workflows to build and maintain efficient data pipelines from many business data sources, we use Stitch Excellent data visualization and dashboard development skills, we use Power BI Experience building scalable semantic layers and defining trusted metrics (ex. reusable measures, standardized definitions) Intermediate experience with Python and/or R for scripting, automation, and data manipulation Exposure to version control in Git/GitHub and bash/command line workflows Familiarity with cloud architecture fundamentals, we are on AWS (ex. S3, EC2, Lambda) Experience leveraging AI/LLM tools to accelerate analytics workflows, improve insight quality, and enable faster decision-making Nice to Have: Experience with data quality monitoring, alerting, and analytics observability tooling Experience supporting self-service analytics across multiple business functions
