Description Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer to collaborate with a Government customer to migrate operational mission capabilities from on-premises hardware to AWS Cloud compute infrastructure. The candidate must have demonstrable experience assisting in the implementation and support of large-scale cloud systems and services on AWS, from application rehosting to Cloud Native re-architecting. Core technologies and experience include microservices, containers, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps practices. AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred but not required for an experienced candidate.
Requirements Security Clearance:
Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Required Skills:
Experience with the USAIC AWS Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure
Ability to collaboration with multiple stakeholders on the planning, architecture, design, and implementation of AWS well-architected solutions
Collaborated with external stakeholders on System Security Plans (SSP), accreditation, and cot optimization
Knowledge and experience with AWS managed services, Cloud frameworks, and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, GitLab)

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
