Job Summary
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor oversees daily warehouse activities supporting equipment rental and event operations. This role is responsible for inventory control, staff supervision, equipment readiness, logistics coordination, and maintaining a safe, efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, and experienced in fast-paced operations with tight event deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of rental equipment and event materials
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, tested, repaired, and event-ready before delivery
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Identify equipment shortages, damage, or maintenance needs and report accordingly
Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate warehouse activities with event schedules, coordinators, and project managers
- Plan and prioritize daily workloads based on upcoming events and rental demand
- Support load-in and load-out operations during large or complex events as needed
Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise, schedule, and train warehouse staff and temporary labor
- Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and quality standards
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and performance expectations
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and reduce errors or downtime
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support peak-season planning and resource allocation
Qualifications
Required
- 1+ years of warehouse or operations experience, preferably in equipment rental, events, or logistics
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (with or without reasonable accommodation)
Preferred
- Experience in event production, staging, AV, tenting, or equipment rental
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and repairs
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced warehouse and event environment

- Occasional on-site support at event locations
