We are looking to hire a Material Pricing Analyst based out of our Calgary branch.

The Material Pricing Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Estimating Team in preparation of bids and responses to request for pricing/proposals. This position will work in close coordination with both our internal buyers and our external material vendors to ensure materials are priced as competitively and accurately as possible top ensure they are aligned with our strategic procurement objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide direct support to the Estimating & Procurement Teams in the coordination of all material requirements for bid proposals and quotes across all corporate divisions.
  • Compile the material requirements in accordance with RFI, RFP, RFQ specifications and incorporates into the development of final proposals.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of material pricing requests to approved vendors. 
  • Review material quotes and prepare analysis for comparative and competitive analysis.  
  • Manage the data spreadsheets ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the data captured.
  • Demonstrate ability to be flexible, meeting business requirements as the need arises.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and key Stakeholders.
  • Manage calendar to meet all quote submission deadlines with appropriate timelines for review. 
  • Ensures accuracy and consistency by collaborating with Purchasing department and external approved vendors.
  • All other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Related University degree, post-secondary certificate, college diploma, and/or trade certification and typically 3 or more years of related experience; or combination of formal education and experience.
  • Previous experience with Electrical/Instrumentation parts would be an asset. 
  • Must have strong knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must demonstrate strong data analytical skills and proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to manage a variety of time sensitive tasks at one time.
  • The ability to work in a team and build relationships with co-workers.
  • The ability to work flexibly and able to respond to increased pressures of tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and time management.
  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree preferred.
  • Parts Apprenticeship would be an asset but not required.
