Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef at Doylestown Country Club in Doylestown, PA. The Sous Chef will assist in supervising the kitchen staff, planning and preparing menus, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. Additionally, the Sous Chef will provide mentorship to team members, oversee food presentation, and collaborate with the Executive Chef to deliver excellent dining experiences to club members and guests. The role involves managing day-to-day culinary operations and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and plating techniques
- Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen organization
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for hygiene and cleanliness
- Leadership skills to manage and train kitchen staff effectively
- Problem-solving and time management abilities to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Relevant culinary education or certification is a plus
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-quality dining setting
