Week 2 Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 0930-2000 Shift differentials given for evenings, nights and weekends Who We Are: Saint Joseph Hospital was founded in Denver in 1873 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth as the first private teaching hospital in Colorado. Today, it remains the largest private teaching hospital in Denver. The hospital provides a tradition of healthcare that includes compassionate caregivers, stellar clinical expertise and active clinical partnerships with Kaiser Permanente, National Jewish Health and community physicians. Saint Joseph's new state-of-the-art hospital opened in December 2014. Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films. Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units. Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures. Prepare or clean patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies and wiping off tables and equipment ensuring an efficient and clean working environment. Prepare and assist in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosages and determining any potential allergies ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures. Maintain patient information as needed by purging or updating patient film jackets and/or filing reports or film files to ensure accurate patient records. Maintain imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests and documenting results. Contact service personnel and notify supervision of malfunctioning equipment. High School diploma or equivalent, required. Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required. At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred.
