Field Technician / General Laborer

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Maple Valley, WA (Greater Seattle Area job sites)

Job Summary

We are a growing construction company seeking a dependable, motivated Field Technician / General Laborer who takes pride in their work and brings a can-do attitude to the job every day. This is a hands-on role supporting a wide range of construction, maintenance, and repair projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site construction, maintenance, and repair work including digging, demolition, and material handling
  • Operate construction equipment and machinery including power tools, trailer towing, scissor lifts and other job-site equipment, in accordance with safety guidelines and training
  • Be available for emergency response work and participate in an on-call rotation as required to support customer needs
  • Perform tasks such as gate repairs, door maintenance and repair, striping, painting, and general construction work
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Support field technicians and skilled tradespeople on job sites
  • Set up and clean up job sites before and after projects
  • Identify issues in the field and communicate problems and solutions clearly
  • Perform basic equipment inspections and report any safety or equipment concerns
  • Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and quality standards
  • Travel to various local and regional job sites (primarily Greater Seattle area)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous construction or general labor experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Availability for emergency call-outs and on-call shifts, outside standard daytime hours as needed, including evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime based on project or customer needs
  • Ability to use basic project management and communication tools, including platforms such as or similar, as well as email, text messaging, and phone communication for job updates and coordination
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow with the company
  • Due to the nature of the work at customer sites, successful candidates must pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.

Preferred Qualifications (Skills & Craft Experience)

Experience or demonstrated ability in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:

  • HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems (installation, troubleshooting, or repair)
  • Door maintenance and repair (commercial doors, gates, hardware, closers, access components)
  • Maintenance technician commercial or residential
  • Window film installation, glazing, or glass handling
  • General construction or skilled labor (framing, demolition, concrete, finish work)
  • Striping, painting, surface preparation, or coatings
  • Ability to read basic drawings, layouts, or work orders
  • OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Primary work hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime may be required based on project timelines and customer needs
