General Assembler

Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and dependable General Assembler to join our manufacturing facility. This role involves assembling and packing hydraulic and fluid power components according to production orders and engineering specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate, high-quality, and error-free assembly. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, commitment to safety, and thrives in a hands-on team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and pack hydraulic components following production orders and engineering drawings.
• Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and work instructions to ensure proper assembly.
• Unpack inventory to prepare materials for assembly.
• Perform assembly processes under the direction of the Production Manager.
• Print and apply labels to identify products accurately.
• Reprint and close production orders using the ERP system (SAP).
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Other production duties may occur from time to time.
• Comply with ISO9001:2008 regulations and procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and write English and solid math proficiency.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production orders.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Comfortable working with multiple units of measure and large quantities.
• Be an active participant in a "hands-on" work environment.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Previous experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Exposure to lean principals a plus.
• Previous experience with SAP (ERP system) is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time – Frequently.
• Physically able to lift heavy objects up to 40 pounds – Frequently.
• Bending and twisting – Frequently
• Use of close vision – Frequently.
• Use hands/fingers to reach, handle, and feel – Frequently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
