Role Summary
The Logistics Analyst is the on-site expert who orchestrates all shipping activities- picking, packing, staging, loading, and system transactions within HP's distribution operations. Blending shop-floor coordination with advanced analytics, the role ensures that every order departs safely, on time, and in full. Working side-by-side with 3PL partners, Transportation, Customer Support, and IT teams, this individual contributor drives day-to-day execution while uncovering process improvements that elevate customer experience, cost efficiency, and compliance. This position will work onsite at our east coast DC in Hagerstown, MD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily outbound operations, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment, packing, and shipping in line with HP's quality and service standards.
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives focused on optimizing outbound flow, reducing order cycle times, minimizing shipping errors, and enhancing on-time delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Warehouse, IT, and Transportation teams to coordinate outbound shipments, resolve exceptions, and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Track real-time metrics such as pick accuracy, order fill rate, on-time ship, trailer utilization, and dock-to-door cycle time; initiate immediate countermeasures when performance drifts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for order expedites, configuration changes, embargo checks, and any customer-facing shipment issues.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for outbound operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform outbound quality audits- scan accuracy, weight checks, and load inspections- to prevent mis-ships and damage, driving corrective actions with 3PL floor leaders.
  • Train and coach warehouse staff on best practices for picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to layout optimization, packaging solutions, and supply chain transformation.
  • Analyse order, carrier, and freight-cost data to uncover waste and bottlenecks; develop dashboards and executive summaries that translate insights into actionable improvement roadmaps.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in outbound or shipping operations within a distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., SAP) and familiarity with transportation processes managed through a 4PL model.
  • Proficiency with Excel plus a data-visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau; able to translate raw data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and influence skills; comfortable directing 3PL associates and collaborating with a remote 4PL team without direct authority.
  • Understanding of domestic parcel, LTL, and truckload shipping requirements and basic export documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a 3PL-run facility or a technology supply chain
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS certification (CSCP, CPIM).
  • Exposure to CTPAT, ISO 9001, or other compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with HP's products, distribution models, or technology sector best practices.

The base pay range for this role is $59,200 to $87,650 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
