Join Our Team as a Lead Solution Architect!

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a variety of hybrid and flexible working arrangements—talk to your recruiter about the options available for this role.

Salary: Starting from £70,000, depending on experience, plus a car allowance and bonus!

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Lead Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our architectural solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Optimizing architecture solutions to align with schedules, scope, requirements, and strategic objectives.
  • Influencing stakeholders at all levels, from Directors to Subject Matter Experts, while leading a team of experts to achieve consensus on architectures and solutions.
  • Designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions using the latest SIEMENS CAD & PLM software.
  • Integrating with existing CAM, MES, and ERP solutions to support quality, testing, construction, and manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and vendors to meet BAE’s Submarine programme needs.
  • Collaborating with technology and software partners to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Developing and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks that align business demand with industry best practices.
  • Managing governance processes to ensure that solution builds meet architectural and design review quality criteria.
Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience as a CAD and PLM Consultant/Architect with a solid understanding of designing and implementing solutions for large engineering programmes.
  • Familiarity with architecture repository tools like Enterprise Architect and architecture modeling frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively at all levels, especially during business change events.

Desirable:

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence in supporting agile delivery methodologies or similar collaboration technologies.
  • Knowledge of SAP and PE&O product suites or similar for large manufacturing projects.
