Job Summary:
Join our fast-paced warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Material Handler. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our distribution center and plays a vital part in our logistics network. You will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. We value teamwork and encourage proactive problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas using pallet jacks and other equipment.
  • Accurately stock and organize inventory on shelves and in racks.
  • Pick and pack orders according to pick lists and order details.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
  • Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions precisely.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the critical importance of PPE.
  • Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
