Join our fast-paced warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Material Handler. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our distribution center and plays a vital part in our logistics network. You will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Accurately stock and organize inventory on shelves and in racks.
- Pick and pack orders according to pick lists and order details.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Must be able to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions precisely.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the critical importance of PPE.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
