Join our vibrant warehouse team in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as a Material Handler! This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and reliable individual to contribute to the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing orders for shipment. Your role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are handled efficiently and safely. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to order specifications.
- Stock and organize inventory on shelves and racks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs is required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
