We are seeking a robust and dependable Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse operations in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. Your duties will encompass loading and unloading trucks, operating basic material handling equipment, and maintaining an orderly workspace. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Sort, organize, and store materials in designated areas.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other manual lifting equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 60 pounds.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and material flow.
- Previous experience as a material handler is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
