About
Our logistics hub in Chicago, Illinois, is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator. This position is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will operate various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Safety protocols is crucial. The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting timely shipments, and maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities include performing daily equipment checks, ensuring load stability, and assisting with general warehouse duties as needed. We have a zero-tolerance policy for Safety violations, and all employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role requires the ability to perform significant Lifting when necessary and operate equipment with precision. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and containers.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all Lifting and material handling is done safely.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Experience with various forklift types and warehouse Logistics.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
