Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our logistics operations in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment, all while adhering to strict safety protocols. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials according to established procedures.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately, ensuring all items are accounted for.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including staging, labeling, and loading.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, adhering to all logistics and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in cycle counting processes.
  • Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies promptly.
  • Follow all company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs, throughout the shift.
  • Knowledge of basic warehouse safety practices and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing needs.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workspace.
