About
Our expanding logistics operation in Boston, Massachusetts, is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our dedicated team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. Your tasks will include loading and unloading shipments, transporting inventory, and supporting various warehouse functions to ensure the smooth flow of our logistics processes. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record, excellent maneuvering skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse safety protocols. You must be attentive to detail and capable of working productively in a dynamic environment. We prioritize a secure workplace, so strict adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements as required.
- Organize warehouse storage areas to maximize space and accessibility.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient order fulfillment and shipping.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when forklift operations are not required.
- Ensure the clean and orderly condition of the work area.
- Follow all directives from supervisors to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of forklift safety procedures and warehouse logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to using PPE correctly and consistently.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively.
