We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and stocking all incoming goods. Your meticulous approach ensures that our inventory is managed efficiently from the moment it arrives. You will process receiving documents, verify shipment contents against purchase orders, and report any damages or discrepancies. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong communication skills, and has a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be committed to safety and wear appropriate PPE.
- Good communication skills.
