Job Summary:
We are a fast-growing startup seeking a motivated, passionate and knowledgeable Crew Lead to join our team. The Crew Lead will be responsible for leading and performing weatherization installs across Massachusetts, serving residential properties while following Mass Save rules and guidelines. Furthermore, the Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of install technicians and requires a strong understanding of energy-efficient technologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Supervise Crew: Lead a team of install technicians to ensure quality work, adherence to safety protocols, and completion on time and within budget installs.
- Installations: Perform and oversee the completion of in-home insulation projects assessments, in line with Mass Save program guidelines.
- Maintain Company Vehicles: Respectfully drive and maintain crew vehicles.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain professional communication with clients, addressing questions and providing clear explanations of the work being done. Ensure customer satisfaction and deliver a positive experience.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor install technicians, ensuring they understand job requirements and help them grow in their role.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all work meets safety standards and complies with local, state, and program regulations. Complete safety inspections throughout the install process and hold the install team to these standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of completed work, including inventory tracking & customer documentation.
- Troubleshooting: Address on-site issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure the proper resolution of any challenges that arise during installations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with management, other crew leads, program inspectors and various teams within the Mass Save program to ensure goals and milestones are met.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical training in energy efficiency, HVAC, construction, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in energy efficiency, construction, or similar fields with leadership experience.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and products, including insulation, lighting, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians, ensuring high productivity and quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Certification or training in energy audits, building science, or other related fields is a plus.
- Knowledge of how to perform a blower door test and combustion safety test.

Pay: $90, $110,000.00 per year
