Position Summary

Bridgepoint LLC is seeking a Part-Time Peer Support Specialist to provide encouragement, advocacy, and recovery-oriented support to individuals receiving services. The Peer Support Specialist uses lived experience to build trust, promote hope, and assist individuals in achieving their personal recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide peer-based support grounded in lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery
• Build supportive, respectful relationships with individuals served
• Assist individuals in identifying goals and developing recovery plans
• Offer emotional support, motivation, and practical guidance
• Model recovery-oriented skills and healthy coping strategies
• Connect individuals to community resources and services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required
• Collaborate with clinical staff and participate in team meetings
• Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and agency policies

Qualifications & Expectations

• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery
• Peer Support Specialist certification (required or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries
• Dependable, self-motivated, and compassionate
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must meet background check and any state-specific requirements

Schedule & Employment Details

• Part-time position (hours may vary based on program needs)
• Flexible scheduling may be available
• Some evening or weekend availability may be required
