Appliance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Appliance Technician to join our service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of household and commercial appliances. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in field service environments. As an Appliance Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality repairs efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
• Repair and replace faulty components in appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwasher units
• Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks with precision and attention to safety standards
• Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex problems
• Assemble appliances or parts as needed for installation or repair projects
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate
• Deliver exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally
• Operate box trucks or delivery vehicles safely when transporting appliances or parts to customer locations
• Assist with the installation of new appliances when required

Requirements

• Proven experience in appliance repair, service technician roles, or related field service positions
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and electrical diagrams
• Experience with refrigeration or equipment repair is highly desirable
• Customer service skills with a professional demeanor and effective communication abilities
• Delivery driver experience preferred; valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to lift heavy appliances and work in various environments safely
• Prior experience working with box trucks or similar delivery vehicles is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $ $28.50 per hour
