Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, including GM and Ford models and diesel engines. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with automotive electrical systems, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Previous dealership experience, familiarity with ADAS systems, schematics, and auto estimating are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and suspension systems.
- Execute alignment procedures and ADAS calibrations to ensure vehicle safety and performance standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
- Repair or replace vehicle parts such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Perform welding and other mechanical repairs as needed to restore vehicle functionality.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and inspections.
- Document repair procedures accurately using auto estimating software; communicate findings clearly to customers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards at all times.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge of ADAS systems, schematics interpretation, and electronic troubleshooting.
- Mechanical expertise with vehicle maintenance, powertrain repair, transmissions, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to perform wheel alignments and calibrations for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
- Strong understanding of automotive service procedures including auto estimating processes.
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate repair needs and solutions to clients.
- Experience working on GM and Ford vehicles is a plus; familiarity with auto maintenance standards is essential. This position is integral to ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best through expert diagnostics and repairs by a knowledgeable automotive technician.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
