Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC and related systems across commercial and industrial settings. Candidates with construction background, service technician experience, and familiarity with schematics and HVAC design are highly preferred. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites. The position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within the field of property maintenance and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform maintenance tasks on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, compressors, valves, and electrical wiring.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary.
- Weld or perform other mechanical repairs on equipment as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities and parts used during repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Support property maintenance activities related to HVAC systems across various facilities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or refrigeration is preferred.
- Construction or property maintenance background is advantageous.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems is essential.
- Experience with appliance repair, boiler operation, welding, and ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning units, refrigeration cycles, plumbing systems, and equipment repair is required.
- Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC issues effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R codes and safety standards is highly desirable.

Pay: $ $32.52 per hour
