OHI is seeking an experienced Leader to join us in our mission to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a Community Support Supervisor (CSS). The CSS is responsible for overseeing their assigned group home(s), direct support staff, and ensuring quality support and services are provided to people residing in those homes.

Qualifications

  • Three years' experience in leadership and supervision.
  • Two years' experience in the human services field;
  • One year direct contact experience;
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Maine driver's license and reliable transportation

Qualities

The CSS must demonstrate flexibility; versatility; demonstrate positive, professional behavior; be an excellent communicator; have a can-do attitude; and demonstrate commitment to the OHI Philosophy, Mission and Vision. The CSS must be a mentor and team player.

Supervisory expectations include:

  • Provide support, supervision, observation, recognition and/or mentoring with each employee supervised;
  • Staffing and scheduling of each home assigned;
  • Focus on employee teamwork, retention and morale;
  • Maintenance of home state license and community rule compliance;
  • Electronic health record implementation;
  • Budgeting and fiscal management;
  • On-call rotation - CSS's are paid for being on-call.
