Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Novelis Global Data team is seeking a Manager IT Applications, SAP. The person in this role will report to the Director, IT Applications. The Manager IT Applications is a member of the Novelis SAP Center of Excellence (COE) and will manage the COE team members within the North American region (NNA). The manager will act as a change agent and collaborate with the global and NNA regional Solution Partners and Business Partners to assess and anticipate business functions' related demands. The manager will also have a role as a functional manager of the SAP global template and peripheral global enterprise application resources across designated end to end (E2E) process area(s) and will therefore be involved in managing the global SAP activities for the respective E2E area.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Business functions to find opportunities for developing and enhancing SAP and other global application related solutions.
  • Collaborate with Solution Partners and Business analysts, set priorities for delivering change requests within the region,
  • Guide COE team members through the evaluation of business requirements and translates requirements into robust technical solutions,
  • Assess work that needs to be done within an E2E area. Provides overall direction and oversight to the solution design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of solutions for areas of responsibility. Governs SAP process related and technical changes within the E2E area.
  • Manage cross-team integration and develop the cutover strategy and approach in coordination with the PMO (Project Management Office), business leads and COE peers, during SAP deployment projects in the North American region.
  • Facilitate the development of and contributes to the management of risk mitigation plans for the global SAP landscape.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for SAP related production and project related issues within the North American region; works to resolve solution issues.
  • Partner with business functions' teams to develop and improve mechanisms/processes that support day-to-day use of applications and tools,
  • Ensure alignment to organization and project standards.
  • Develop internal reporting and presentations for senior management in conjunction with business functional teams.
  • Responsible for all Personnel Management activities for direct reports within region including but not limited to Performance Reviews

*Minimum Qualifications: *

  • Bachelor's degree in business/management, IT, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Analysis
  • Experience leading the analysis and design of Enterprise applications and solutions
  • 5+ years IT project management or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years SAP configuration experience
  • Experience being a project, integration or team lead in 2 or more full life cycle SAP implementations of which at least one has been an S/4HANA implementation or migration
  • Global experience – working with teams in diverse locations across multiple time zones
  • Experience managing geographically distributed direct reports
  • Experience managing multiple IT projects or assignments for customers across various functional areas
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business and IT organizations on direction and prioritization of solutions
  • Proven working knowledge with SAP S/4HANA and related enterprise applications and web technologies.
  • Strong business and systems analysis skills, test planning and testing skills, solving skills and experience with numerous environments and architectures
  • Proven working knowledge of the SDLC models/methodologies, IT systems and their direct implementation to enterprise application projects
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills including the ability to work with and support diverse teams, colleagues, and business clients with a variety of styles and technical knowledge
  • Short- and long-term strategic visioning capabilities
  • Positive, flexible, open-minded approach
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization including executive leadership
