Duties

• Assist with surface preparation tasks such as sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Support the application of paints, coatings, or primers using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools under supervision.
• Use basic math skills to measure surfaces accurately with precision measuring instruments for proper coating application.
• Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools, disposing of waste materials properly, and adhering to safety protocols.
• Follow instructions for auto body repair or auto painting tasks when required, ensuring quality standards are met.

Skills

• Experience operating power tools, and hand tools in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, machining, welding, and auto body repair processes.
• Familiarity with industrial painting techniques including airless spray systems and manual brush/roller applications.
• Ability to handle materials safely using proper lifting techniques and materials handling equipment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction on the job site.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise work.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and assembly processes in a manufacturing setting.
