Kitchen Manager

Job Overview:

A new pizza kitchen with new equipment has been built to meet the demands of our guests.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at the NEW Tommy's on Thomas in downtown Hammond. As the Evening/Night Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations, while leading the kitchen team to meet the high expectations and high volume plans for the new restaurant. You wil work with the GM to ensure consistent execution of pizzas and other menu items. This is a key leadership role with our team where you will ensure the highest quality of food and service while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Duties:
- Manage and supervise night kitchen staff, including cooks and dishwashers
- Monitor food production to maintain quality standards and timely execution
- Assist with inventory control and ordering of supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train and develop kitchen staff on pizza making and other cooking techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to create new dishes and improve existing ones
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area

Experience:
- Must have previous experience in kitchen leadership.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation or pizza making preferred
- Familiarity with FOH service and bartending and beverage service is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
