Overview:

At Revvity, we are taking the next steps to evolve the traditional manufacturing engineering role. Our business is driving rapid improvements through line design, automation, materials management and NPI development. This full-time internship/COOP (January June 2026) role will provide support to the engineering team and assist with problem solving, lab layout, construction, production support, shipping and distribution. The candidate will gain hands-on experience, team skills, layout skills combined with improving their overall engineering skills being mentored by seasoned engineers with varying backgrounds. This is an on-site based role located the South End, Boston.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting the daily tasks of supporting chemistry labs, facilities, shipping, distribution, packaging groups within the Boston Revvity group.
  • Help in programming microprocessors
  • Help in designing robotic systems
  • Panel wiring and documentation for automated equipment
  • Construction assistance using manual and power tools (hand drills or power saws)
  • Assisting basic troubleshooting of dispensing equipment
  • Improving and documenting equipment, spaces and processes
  • Willingness to embrace Lean techniques
  • Assembling or disassembling lab structures such as hoods, storage racks or benches
  • Nothing in this description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at this time

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering in one of these applications - manufacturing, mechanical, computer, electrical, bio or chemical

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAD proficiency (AutoCAD or Solidworks)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and comfort working with power tools
  • Experience with MicroSoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.  Further, this position requires a U.S. Person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. Persons. If an Export Authorization is requirement, the applicant must be willing to provide all information required to secure such authorization

Physical Requirements & Expectations:

  • Ability to lift 45 pounds
  • Ability to work on their feet with minimal breaks for an 8-hour day
  • Reliable transportation to Boston and Hopkinton

The base salary range for this full-time position is paid hourly $20.00/hr - $27.00/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into
