We are seeking a dedicated Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team at our new Davie/Cooper City location. The ideal candidates will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in meal preparation within the food industry. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality dishes that meet our standards for excellence. Whether you have experience in fine dining, catering, or working in a dietary department, we welcome your expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with meal preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and assembling ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
• Participate in menu planning and development when required.
• Opening and Closing of location.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience as a cook or prep cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with kitchen responsibilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of dining standards and catering practices is advantageous.
• Strong knife skills and ability to handle various kitchen tools safely.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
