We are hiring a proactive Warehouse Associate to support our operations in Washington, D.C. This position is vital for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse. As a Warehouse Associate, you will handle diverse responsibilities, from managing inventory to preparing shipments. Your role will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain high standards of service in the fast-paced logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, where applicable.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform duties that involve significant lifting and physical exertion.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Ensure smooth logistics flow for all outgoing and incoming goods.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical capacity to handle frequent lifting, reaching, and bending, with weights up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety, including correct use of PPE and understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with basic inventory systems and logistics principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required.
