Job Summary:
Join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts, as a Receiving Clerk. We are seeking detail-oriented and organized individuals to manage the incoming flow of goods into our facility. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that all received items are processed efficiently and correctly. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all received items. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and you will be required to follow all established safety procedures and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate. This position requires the ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting and a high degree of accuracy. Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect all incoming items for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Accurately record all received inventory in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and label received items for proper storage and tracking.
  • Stage goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments.
  • Assist with inventory control tasks and cycle counts as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role is preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and basic data entry.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
