About
We are hiring enthusiastic Picker/Packers for our bustling warehouse in Portland, Oregon. This is a fast-paced role where you will be instrumental in accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your daily tasks will include navigating the warehouse using pick lists or RF scanners, selecting the correct items, and ensuring they are packaged securely and efficiently. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, directly impacting the speed and accuracy of our order fulfillment process. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role involves a significant amount of walking, standing, and occasional lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packaging.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Verify order details and shipping information.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking/packing or a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and instructions.
- Basic math skills for order verification.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
