Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in Columbus, Ohio! We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to assist in the efficient movement and organization of materials within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. This role is crucial to our overall supply chain operations, ensuring that products are handled correctly from receipt to dispatch. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from various production and storage areas, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production lines or shipping docks.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to material handling and safety.
- Adhere to all prescribed PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess good communication skills. A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols is essential.
