Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and landscaping tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical systems, construction, and landscape maintenance, along with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities
  • Operate heavy machinery such as tractors and mowers for landscaping or construction projects
  • Maintain gardens and landscapes through pruning, planting, mowing, and other horticultural activities
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs, installations, and general maintenance tasks
  • Assist with construction projects
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to keep systems operational
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities
  • Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used

Experience

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with equipment such as tractors is a plus
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Background in construction or general maintenance work is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and best practices is beneficial

This position requires a proactive individual with strong mechanical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and possess a valid driver's license.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
