Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
What You’ll Be Doing:As a Senior/Principal Hardware Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative hardware solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing complex hardware design tasks aligned with our development plan, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Conducting hardware requirements capture and detailed design, including a variety of analysis tasks.
- Adopting an innovative approach to design and identifying improvements to enhance our working practices.
- Collaborating with an integrated team to optimize solutions and minimize dependencies.
- Providing technical guidance and support for all aspects of digital and/or analogue electronics solutions.
- Coaching and developing the skills of junior team members.
- Delivering design artifacts that meet both company and industry standards.
Essential:
- Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven knowledge and experience in digital and/or analogue electronics technologies.
- Experience navigating the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to product certification.
- Ability to appreciate cost and schedule constraints to meet program needs.
- Capable of providing robust engineering judgment throughout the development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of product design and work package control.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise.
- Experience with analogue simulation tools, such as Simetrix or Spice.
- Knowledge of system development tools, such as Enterprise Architect, Matlab, or Simulink.
