Hardware Team Leader

Location: Rochester

Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum

As a Hardware Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a talented electronics design team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading: Provide managerial and technical leadership to our electronics design team.
• Managing Work Packages: Oversee cost, schedule, risks, and opportunities.
• Supporting Production: Ensure the engineering team meets production program demands.
• Technical Governance: Uphold adherence to company processes and standards.
• Performance Trade-offs: Lead cost and performance evaluations.
• Control Account Management: Manage Control Account activities effectively.

Essential:

• Demonstrated high performance in leading engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle.
• Proven experience with cost and planning management tools, optimizing solutions, and minimizing dependencies.
• Expertise in identifying improvements in working practices and team skill development, focusing on failure reduction.
• Knowledge of supporting production programs effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience with PLD / FPGA design.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools, such as DOORS.
• Experience with work-package management tools, such as MSP or JIRA.
