Your participation in these events is essential and will be fully supported. The leader of the Cloud Provisioning team will oversee the strategy and implementation of our Infra Provisioning experience. This role will focus on enhancing the developer experience surrounding cloud account provisioning and infrastructure provisioning. The ideal candidate will prioritize customer satisfaction, particularly for our internal engineers, and excel in collaborating with various teams within the organization for cohesive alignment. Your responsibilities will include: Building and managing engineering teams to drive the development of features, services, and infrastructure across both web and mobile platforms.
Mentoring your team members to positively impact the organization and foster their professional growth.
Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to convert our vision into a tangible quarterly roadmap. Breaking down complex projects into manageable segments and leading the iterative design and implementation process.
Acting as a thoughtful technical authority within the team, supporting architectural decisions, and cultivating a culture of high-quality code and engineering processes. Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and operation of scalable, multi-tenant distributed systems.
Partnering with our talent acquisition team to identify and recruit exceptional engineers who align with Coinbase’s culture and contribute to our objectives.
Taking ownership of processes that enhance engineering quality and meet our engineering SLAs.
We are looking for candidates with the following: At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering management.
Proven experience managing critical, high-traffic infrastructure, with proficiency in monitoring via golden signals and service-specific metrics, logs, and traces, as well as skills in Unix network debugging, scaling, and proactively addressing performance and reliability issues.
An ability to balance long-term strategic vision with short-term tactical planning.
Experience in designing, delivering, and operating scalable multi-tenant distributed systems.
A hands-on approach, whether engaging in coding, technical documentation, participating in on-call rotations, leading incident responses, or troubleshooting bugs.
A deep passion for building an open financial system that unites the world, propelling you to excel in this role.
Preferred qualifications include: Experience with distributed systems and knowledge of concepts such as active-active cluster design.
Experience navigating rapid growth within a company (from 10 to hundreds of engineers).
Background in developing financial systems, or high-reliability and security systems.
