About Us
We are a small, family-owned pizzeria and restaurant committed to serving comforting high-quality Italian-American cuisine in a welcoming, community-focused environment. We're looking for a skilled and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen while working closely with ownership and staff. In addition to daily dine-in service, we also handle catering and private events, and we're looking for a Head Chef who can help lead both sides of our operation.
Position Overview
The Head Chef will manage day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining a hands-on presence in the kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a casual, family-oriented setting, can operate independently, and also collaborates closely with ownership and staff in both leadership and team-focused roles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations for dine-in, takeout, catering, and private events
- Lead, train, and support kitchen staff in a positive, team-oriented environment
- Ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all menu items
- Plan and execute food preparation for catering and private events
- Assist with menu development and seasonal specials rooted in Italian-American cuisine
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health code compliance
- Step in as needed during service to support the team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a professional restaurant kitchen
- Comfortable working independently while also leading and collaborating with a team
- Experience with Italian-American cuisine strongly preferred
- Pizza-making experience is a plus, but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Reliable, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Passion for food, hospitality, and creating a welcoming kitchen culture

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
