The Clinical Outreach Specialist plays a critical role in driving growth by developing and strengthening referral relationships throughout the Cincinnati and Dayton markets. This individual will be responsible for proactive outreach to local health systems, primary care offices, hospitals, and community providers. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, self-motivated, comfortable with cold calling, and passionate about advancing mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, contact, and build relationships with local health systems, physician practices, hospitals, and community organizations in the Cincinnati and Dayton geographies.
- Conduct consistent outbound outreach, including cold calls, emails, and in-person visits, to generate and grow referral partnerships
- Educate referral sources on outpatient psychiatry services, including medication management and therapy offerings, as well as TMS and Spravato.
- Maintain a strong understanding of our services, patient populations served, and referral workflows
- Track outreach activity, referral trends, and follow-up actions using CRM or internal tracking tools
- Collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and clinical teams to align business development efforts with organizational goals
- Represent the organization professionally at community events, networking opportunities, and local meetings
- Identify new growth opportunities and provide market insights to leadership
Qualifications & Relevant Experience
- Comfort and confidence with cold calling and proactive outreach
- Familiarity with outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or healthcare services strongly preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare referral processes and local health systems (Cinci/Dayton) is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Passion for mental health and improving access to care in the community
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years demonstrated experience in business development, sales, healthcare outreach, or relationship management
- Up to 75% travel (local Dayton and Cincinnati) for client onsite meetings
