Duties

• Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods, including sandwiches, salads, and hot items, following established recipes and safety guidelines
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and offering recommendations for upselling or meal ideas
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, including food handling, sanitation practices, and proper bussing of tables or counters
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy during cashiering duties while balancing cash registers at shift end
• Ensure proper food safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of deli products
• Support inventory management by restocking items, checking expiration dates, and notifying management of low stock levels

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles within quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices in a retail or restaurant environment
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly attitude and clear communication skills
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
• Experience working in grocery stores, cafes, or other retail food environments is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing duties in a fast-paced setting

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
