Job Description

Job Title: Remote Purchasing & Accounting Coordinator (1099 Contractor)
Pay: $15/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (some flexibility allowed)
Location: Remote (U.S.-based candidates preferred)

We are a fast-growing, well-established company and one of the nation's largest team sports dealers, supplying custom apparel, uniforms, and gear to schools, teams, and organizations across the country. We operate at a high level and take pride in being organized, responsive, and financially disciplined. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Purchasing & Accounting Coordinator to help keep our backend operations running smoothly.

About the Role

This is a full-time, remote 1099 contractor role for someone who is highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable working with numbers and follow-ups. You'll play a critical role in purchasing product, reconciling invoices, and assisting with accounts receivable and collections. This position supports both our sales and accounting teams and helps ensure orders are accurate, vendors are paid correctly, and customer balances are kept current.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Place and manage purchase orders with vendors
  • Reconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders and receipts
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in pricing, quantities, or freight
  • Assist with accounts receivable reconciliations
  • Follow up on past-due customer balances via email and phone
  • Maintain accurate records in our internal systems
  • Communicate with vendors, sales reps, and internal team members to resolve issues
  • Support additional accounting and operations tasks as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with numbers, invoices, and financial data
  • Professional and confident communication skills (especially for collections)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through consistently
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Reliable home office setup with high-speed internet (dual monitors preferred)
  • Experience in purchasing, accounting support, bookkeeping, or collections is a plus
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, or accounting software is helpful
