Job Summary:

The primary duties of a Machine operator are to operate all machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Perform quality checks and produce accurate parts. Operate the machines using correct materials to produce various shapes and sizes to ensure tolerances specified on the prints or drawings are correct. On the first article and throughout the process check the parts you are producing for accuracy.

Essential Functions:

  • Produce parts that meet print specifications and required measurements.
  • Operate the machine safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including greasing, checking and adding oil or coolant, cleaning, and removing debris.
  • Maintain the machine in a clean, safe, and fully operational condition.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Set up machines correctly and verify proper operation before running jobs.
  • Pull and verify correct material prior to processing each order.
  • Pull parts and load machines as needed to support production workflow.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  1. Minimum Education Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.

  2. Minimum Experience Preferred: 1 year of experience operating CNC machinery in a metal or similar industry.

  3. Skills Required:

i. Read blueprints and drawings.

ii. Knowledge of sheet and plate products (grades, thickness)

iii. Proficient in reading and writing English.

iv. Must know how to read calipers, scales, angle finders, tape measures, and understand different scales of measurement.

v. Must have general math skills.

vi. Attention to detail.

Pay: $ $37.00 per hour
